It is ideal for vehicles that do not have a factory camera but do have an original screen. The system connects through the original harness and integrates with the car’s CanBus to support automatic reverse activation and dynamic parking guidelines.

Step 1: Connect the Camera
*Remove the monitor or CD host and connect the camera directly to the original harness. No extra wiring required—truly plug-and-play.

Step 2: Test the Camera
*During testing, there’s no need to install the camera – simply test it directly from the driver’s cabin.

Step 3: Finalize Installation
*Route the 6-meter cable from the trunk to the front of the head unit.
*Install the camera and ensure proper functionality.

** If the camera doesn’t work on the first attempt:
*** Disconnect and reconnect the camera a few times.The camera’s built-in system will automatically recode the radio.
*** Turn the radio on and off during the process.

Volkswagen Group vehicles use a modular infotainment platform known as MIB (Modular Infotainment Baukasten). Understanding the version of your car’s MIB system is important when selecting a compatible parking camera.

How to Choose the Right Camera for Skoda Octavia 3 (5E) 2013-2020

For Skoda Octavia 3 (5E) 2013-2020, the choice between Camera A and Camera E depends on the size of the rear trunk handle:
Camera E is suitable for 2013-2015 models with a smaller trunk handle.
Camera A is suitable for 2016-2020 models, especially 2017-2020 Facelift versions, which have a standard MQB-sized trunk handle.

If you have a 2016 model, please provide a photo of your rear trunk handle to confirm the correct camera model before purchasing.

Incompatible Vehicles:

1. Audi Q3, A5, Q5, A1 2021 or newer – Not compatible.
* Some of these models may use the MIB 3 Platform with Automotive Ethernet system. this new MIB 3, please visit the new MIB 3 Camera Link from SINOSMART.
2. Audi A6L, A7, A8, Q8 – Not compatible.
* Based on the new MLB platform.
3. Audi S3 – Not compatible.

Known Issues:

** Compatible in Europe, except for Sportback MJ2016 models.
** In other regions, **specific coding may be required.

* Audi A4/A5:
** Requires engaging the reversing gear twice to properly display the reverse image.
